Due to its exposed situation to the Atlantic Ocean and its more than 180 degree swell window, North western Galicia gets hit by almost every swell passing through the south-western coastline of Europe.

Galicia is well known of being the place with the highest wave probability on the European mainland all year round.

The region is full of beachbreaks and pointbreaks over sandy bottom – just cruise around, open your eyes, find your spot and surf it.

The unique location of Ondaroot and its surrounding beaches gives you the possibility toaccess more than 10 different waves in about 5 minutes drive (and some of the best even in walking distance) according to swell and wind direction.

This is one of the few places in Europe where almost every day you will find a spot with offshore wind to surf.

Trade winds blow north-east in summer and south-west in the wintertime providing perfect side to sideoff-shore conditions to ride the waves with your kite when the wind is on.
